Messed up computer

I need help
My husband has messec up the computer so bad he has installed new devices and changed settings in bios. I had it custom built back in 06. I have the book and cd for the motherboard and the serial numbers for processor. It had window xp pro but we installed 98 and tried to create a logical partion and that was the end. Cant get window to show or anything past booting. Pls help

What version of Windows are you trying to get installed? Both XP and 98 are way past obsolete.

Assuming you can get into the BIOS, grab a Lubuntu or Linux Mint livecd from a Linux magazine / burn on another computer, boot from it, copy all your data to a USB flash drive, and install Linux. Much better, safer, and easier than messing about with fixing MBRs and all the stuff you would have to to with 98/XP.

I really want window 10 bu4 have no internet connection. Can't seem to ge4 it to work
