First of all my computer slowed down and CPU utilization went up, while using Chrome. I suspected viruses and malware, too bad I was right. I cleaned that stuff out of my PC and to protect myself better scanned my PC with some other scanners for adware, spyware... I cleaned up all the mess and everything seems to work fine afterwards.

Soon I decided to install Office 95 (yup the old one) just to see how old MS offices looked like and felt. In installation there was error, which said something about fonts, but I ignored it and let installer finish the job. Old Office worked fine until I discovered one thing. My fonts in web browsers are messed up:

It's so annoying. There are also the cases of it being much smaller, to almost unreadable level.
So this is what I did:
uninstalled Office 95 (Revo uninstaller)
re-installed Office 2016
sfc /scannow
registry cleaning with CCleaner
registry fixing with Little registry cleaner
Windows font reset
browser font reset
other browsers Edge, Chrome, Opera, Firefox
Downloaded Vivaldi to see if problem persists, too bad it does
Likely I did something more, but I can't remember, because I did a lot of things
My problems seems to affect web browsers only, I haven't seen occurrence in anything else yet. I truly have no other ideas of what to do, except deleting and copying fonts from other Win10 machine. Does anyone know a solution to something like that? Can it be effects of malware (if I remember correctly, they were troyans)?

To make situation even worse I have turned off system restore, because I'm trying to save writes and space on my 128GB SSD, so no reverting to previous configuration, also I don't have Windows 10 disk, because I got Windows 10 as free upgrade from Windows 7. Windows reinstall should be avoided if that's possible.

Except messed up fonts PC works perfectly fine.

Solution

But I didn't say any bad words...

Anyway I reinstalled all Windows 10 fonts and everything seems to be working fine. I guess I solved my problem myself, but I'm not sure if it's a reliable solution.
Looks like I solved it myself with font repair software, which program I don't know, but I ran two (FiFoFo and Font doctor) and after restart boom, everything looks like it should look. Yet I'm still unsure a bit about stuff as FiFoFo still says that some weren't fixed.

You did in your original post. I edited them out.

Glad you resolved your problem. Well done.

Oh, sorry then I didn't want to make you more work.

That issue was really weird one. Since the problem is solved, I think this thread should be closed.
