That said, doesn't Metal gear have like vampires and ghosts in it? Are zombies really that outlandish for the series? Perhaps it's more a case of a TOTAL lack of creativity that's rubbing people up the wrong way.

Pretty much that is what is rubbing people wrong I think. We've seen zombies before. Nothing new or creative.

From what i remember an entire act of content is missing from phantom pain, this paired with the cash grab 'a zombie hoard game is easy and fast to make' is rubbing everyone the wrong way.
