mic won't work properly

My headset/mic (USB) had one side go out.. So, I went and bought a brand new one in May. The headset itself works fine. It's an iFrogz Zagg headset with mic (not USB). I can get the mic to work in the front, but playback is through my speakers, not headset. I cannot get it to playback through my headset. I've tried plugging into the back, and into the front of the speaker itself. Any ideas??

My computer finds new hardware, and when I let the wizard do its thing, I get "This hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software."

I've gone to microsoft.com and done all updates.. I went to the zagg website, no software for this headset. I called zagg support, they sent me a new headset, but still cannot get the mic to work properly with the headset.

After I posted originally to the forum, it said I'd have a response within 48 hrs.. I've had 5 reads, but no help.. anyone???????
