Mice keep breaking from the same problem

I've pretty much gone through 5 different mice within in a year roughly, it starts off by disconnecting and reconnecting then eventually it occurs more frequently making the mouse unusable; i have tried different usb ports and it still happens. (It's most likely something to do with my PC clearly, i just can't put my finger on it)

Any tips? It's becoming a pain having acquire multiple different mice throughout the year

If you think it's your PC, test the mice with another computer. It's probably you tugging on the cable too much or something similar.

Are the mice still usable on other machines? What are the specs of your rig?
Just I have a feeling it has to do with the PSU delivering too much power, which could be over time frying the mice you attach, and who knows what to the internal components.

Specs atm are

Phenom II X4 b50 @ 3.4
Radeon HD 5570 1GB
Coolermaster GX 650w
Corsair Vengeance 4GB

And no the mice aren't usable on other machines
