Hi, I have been playing GTA V: Online on my old and new computer for years now without ever having any issues.
However 2 days ago when I fired the game up to play them new heists with some friends I noticed that I had some weird "lag".
Every 5 seconds the games freezes up for like 0.1 seconds then continues to run flawless for 5 seconds only to micro freeze again. This happens exactly every 5 seconds without any exceptions.
Just like in this video: https://www.polygon.com/2019/11/22/20974474/red-dead-redemption-2-rdr2-pc-patch-stutter-crash-fixes
My pc specs are:
Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3-CF
Intel Core i5 - 7500, 3.40 GHz Quadcore
24 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
1 Monitor - ASUS VE247H
And to mention something super weird, I noticed that if I unplug my ethernet cable hence making my computer offline, the game runs flawlessly. And the same second I connected the cable again the micro freezing returned
I've been at this for 10 hours or something now trying seriously everything to make this work. I've followed every nvidia related lag guide etc but nothing helps so i'm growing desperate here
I can't figgure why the game micro freezes when the computer have an internet connection and why it works perfectly when the computer is offline but maybe someone here knows why?
