Question Micro stuttering in GTA every 5 seconds

Hi, I have been playing GTA V: Online on my old and new computer for years now without ever having any issues.

However 2 days ago when I fired the game up to play them new heists with some friends I noticed that I had some weird "lag".

Every 5 seconds the games freezes up for like 0.1 seconds then continues to run flawless for 5 seconds only to micro freeze again. This happens exactly every 5 seconds without any exceptions.

My pc specs are:
Gigabyte Z170-Gaming K3-CF
Intel Core i5 - 7500, 3.40 GHz Quadcore
24 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
1 Monitor - ASUS VE247H

And to mention something super weird, I noticed that if I unplug my ethernet cable hence making my computer offline, the game runs flawlessly. And the same second I connected the cable again the micro freezing returned
I've been at this for 10 hours or something now trying seriously everything to make this work. I've followed every nvidia related lag guide etc but nothing helps so i'm growing desperate here :D

I can't figgure why the game micro freezes when the computer have an internet connection and why it works perfectly when the computer is offline but maybe someone here knows why?

Hi, I have the EXACT same problem - a slight stutter every 5 seconds (stopping only when not connected to the internet). I haven't found a solution either; however, it is slightly comforting to have finally found someone with the same issue. Since you said you started up the game to play the "new heist" (which was released December), I assume you haven't played the game in a while? For me, the February 10th "1.53 patch" introduced this issue, and it has persisted ever since. Hopefully the new update, which is due this summer, addresses and fixes this issue. Cheers.

I had a different problem with GTA V
It would lag BAD and stutter.
I was on wifi, and plugged in LAN cable and runs amazing now.
Other games weren't affected by the wifi.
I thought my GPU was having issues initially.
