Hello everyone, i have a problem with my microphone. It's too low for some reason, i have a razer kraken USB. And thought it'll last atleast 2 years. But i thought otherwise.

My mic volume is somehow too low. I have my microphone 100% (+ 100% boost) And, it still couldn't get my voice. But whenever i blow on it. It somehow works. I also had times that it worked for a few hours, and then went to a soft volume.

What i did before writing this:

Check the windows properties via the control panel to be sure that everything worked

Searched up hundreds of tutorials on how to fix this

But my real question is, what is wrong?

OK, one more possibility for a hardware related problem would be that in the preamp circuit of the headset a capacitor is going bad. I hope you can find the source of the problem. One suggestion would be if you could get your hands on another headset, maybe from a friend, you could test it on your computer to see if the problem is unique to your headset or if it happens with another one.
If you're on Windows OS environment, remove the Razer Audio device from Device Manager and reboot your system. See if that helps. You can also try and see if you have any BIOS updates pending. Also make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your system. Speaking of system, are you on a desktop or a laptop? If the former, list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Within Sound Manager, is the mic set to mute? Or is there another device that is defaulted?

Hey Lutfij,

Thanks for answering. I don't think my BioS is updated yet. And i'll try to unplug the audio device from the device manager.
And for the sound manager, no it's not muted. + i have it as a default device, it worked 2 months since this problem occured.

Hey Peter & Mortemas,

Peter, i don't know what bios version i have. I bought this PC prebuilt. And mortemas, no. It doesn't change when i wiggle the USB. I even tried ALL my USB ports, to see if a USB port was damaged or not. But i think it's something in the software.
