I have a fairly cheap microphone Trust gxt 212/mico
I know it can be just beacouse the mic is bad, but i have friends that have worse mics and those don't do that
I set my mic from obs and discord to pick sound only under 32dcb and now i can't be heard , when i set it at 40dcb i can speak properly but if someone is standing in the room and speaking or the tv is on , the mic recepts the voices almost like mine and from what my friends said they sound like they are speaking to the microphone or standing close to it even if they are ~2-3m away from it
I just want to know if it's the mic or i can do some changes to the settings to solve this
I need to point that the mic is omnidirectional ( maybe that's the problem) and it has usb connection

Solution
You need a directional (unidirectional) microphone -- only picks up sound only from the area immediately in front of it.

Omnidirectional ones pick up sound from all directions.

It's just a case of choosing the right type for what you need it to do.
