Microphone Problem Can't Figure Out

Hello everyone, I am having troubles with my microphone. I noticed it when people in AMRA 3 said they couldn't hear me. I went and check it with sound recording and found that i could barely hear it on there either. Then I realized that sound isn't being picked up by the "mic" part of the headset but instead the earpiece part instead. So literally to get it to record my voice properly i must hold the headset up and talk into the earpiece. It isn't just this mic either. It does the same with every head set that i try. That's why i think it is a software issue instead of a mic problem.

That isn't the problem either. I ordered a regular microphone without a headset to see if that will make a difference. Other than that there is nothing else i can think of to try...

Maybe the jack is dead? Dunno try googling or install new drivers
