I agree, the patent office needs to rethink how they give out patents. All to often patents get approved that are talking about ideas that have been in use for years. I mean, some of the patens are rediculous, like a method for touching a screen and having it do stuff. That guy should win the nobel prize, xerox has been doing it for years now, as well as many other companies, yet it gets approved, then they try to sue apple over the ipod, and motorola over their phones, etc, when the patent is to vague and was already part of fair use.
