Microsoft Audio Failing

Whats happening is that every 10-20 mins I have to go on services and restart windows audio and it is getting really frustrating! A temp fix would be good but a perm fix would be amazing, if you need any more details lemmie know Thanks!

Is the service stopping itself? Have you verified that both the Windows Audio, and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder services are both set to Automatic as their Startup Type?

Also, have you checked the Event Viewer for details as to what is happening?

The service says it's running but I hear no sound, then I restart the service and I hear sound. I haven'e checked Audio Endpoint Builder or Event Viewer so will do that now

Okay, I have checked Event Logs and it says it's not failing. I don't see why this isn't working 🙁

For example now, I can't hear anything. Restarted windows audio now I can. It says it's running yet it does not work

Use the script in the linked zip archive below to export the relevant Event logs and share them here. Upload some place you can share them from (SkyDrive, DropBox, etc...). Something has to be triggering this...

Wow, that's really odd. I don't see anything either. Perhaps there is a problem with the audio driver. Can you check for updated drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website? If you are using a separate audio card from another manufacturer like Creative or Asus, check their website instead.

Okay I have a msi motherboard so I went to their website and it has a thing called Live Updater or somthing along that line. I scanned for new drivers and the is a Realtek one so downloading that as we speak will update after

Been using the newer drivers for about 30 mins now and still no audio fail cheers! I checked via windows to look for new drivers recently but never found any, cheers man!

Awesome! Glad it's finally working.

FYI - Windows Update is not the best source for driver updates. Always go to the manufacturers website first. If nothing can be found there, then check Windows Update.
