You know there's something wrong with the comment system when even the neighbor's step aunt makeing $87 is posting the same thing 3 times.

How hard would it be to compute hash of each incoming comment and compare it to all other comments made by the same user in the same thread (or directly compare without hashing)? And in case there's a match, refuse the comment as duplicate? A no-brainer, I would say.

Think of how many posts consisting of "Windows 8 BLOWS! I HATE BALLMER LOOLZORS!" written by actual living human bots we would never get to read?...
