I have a cult classic game, "Vampire Bloodlines" that use to work on Windows 7-64 after several updates it broken now. WTF My game rig is just that games, nothing else so I turned off updates. Before that several times MS got me killed in my MMO when they minimized my game during a fight without notice while installing patches.
I can imagine if I was doing something important and lost hours of work because of this, yeah MS you auto patch crap is off on my game rig.
At least Apple has the smarts enough to tell you, updates are available.
