After my high school i want to continue studying in an IT sector since i am learning about programming for a longer time at my home.
Now i want to improve my knowledge by going on a private school that is very popular in my country (their ads are everywhere). So after the studies are over (they last about 1 year, only practice no theory) they give their students this kind of certificates (i will list some of their names):
MTA: Microsoft Technology Associate
MCSD: Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer
MCTS: Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist

Oracle Certified Professional
Oracle Certified Master
Oracle Certified Expert

Cambridge A&AS Level Computer Science

Now i want to ask has anyone got this certificate and what is the power of these certificates (can i get a full time job with them).

Thanks 😀

Take a look at the IT job openings in your area/country. See what, if any, certifications are being required or considered as a "plus".

Unfortunately, many certification programs teach just enough for the students to pass the tests and be certified. And some programs may be really more interested in just getting your money. And may not be officially sanctioned to teach the classes or give the tests.

Reference ITT Technology's closure within just the last few days.

Experience may be more important to some employers. Plus they want employees who are reliable, honest, and really willing to work.

Overall, the required skill set is higher: can you communicate orally and in writing? What other education do you have: science, math, engineering?

Can you work as a team member and not cause trouble for anyone?

So my answer is that the certifications may be helpful depending on where you are and how much that certification makes you truly stand out.

Most employers will not make certification(s) the sole basis for hiring.

Thanks for replying.

I just took a look at job requirements from companies in my country and none of them said anything about certificates and neither diplomas, only about skills like team work etc.

That is what i am afraid of. If they are going to give me the certificate and call me an 'IT specialist' just because i gave them money it is not really worth studying there, that is why i asked what is their "power" :/

I speak fluent English if that is anything good...

As of other skills i am pretty sure that i have them among the ones that they wrote as required.

Now i am worried if i spend my time learning about programming and after all that i do not seem to find a job.

As another option:

Identify a couple of positions you feel qualified for. Especially any positions that match your current skill set, education, and experience.

Then apply. Be honest about what you have done and can do. Be able to demonstrate accordingly. Your fluent English ability may well be a plus.

And work on a professional appearance and demeanor. Being a "yourself as a person" is one thing. Being "displined about yourself as that person" is another. People (employers and otherwise) still respond to and react to personal characteristics that may not and/or should not have any bearing on the job. So keep things positive with the norms; i.e., wear a tie. I am sure you know some professionals within your circle of family or friends. Learn from them.

Hopefully you will get an interview or two. Nothing to lose and you will likely learn a great deal from the overall experience. And if you make a good impression you may be contacted if another position opens up. Or if the hired candidate does not work out.

Thanks for your reply and helping me. I will listen to your advice, although i am too young to find a job now (full one), was just worried for the future. Thanks again for the tips they are really helpful 😀.
