The partners clearly know their half-assed products will not compare to the glorious tablet the Surface is. MS should sell their tablet at reasonable prices that undercut competition and domination of the market is guaranteed

[citation][nom]john_4[/nom]No, MS will have their own RT surface tablet with keyboard and then the other makers can use Linux on their same styled hardware, let the best platform win.[/citation]
Again you are basically blacklisting the MS version by saying that, what you should say is allow the makers to use what they believe will do best (which could include MS RT) and let the best platform win. That is how that works, you can't say only one company should use this OS and all other should use this other one and let the best win that gives an unfair advantage to the more widely used OS. Some companies will use MS RT that is almost a given really, MS will not be the only one and you never know they might turn out to be good and sell well making it the best platform.

Well, it takes time to optimise the code for ARM prosessors, when code is originally made for Intel prosessors... Even AMD have had hard times to get everything righ in optimising win OS for their architechtures.
In time it will be easier, but in meanwhile ARM based machines don't run at full capacity.

I love my AMD C-50 tablet from Acer, it runs windows 8 spectacular, and gives me 6 ish hours of use on a charge. It has some deign issues, but the W510 seems to have fixed them all. Hopefully more vendors will use this platform for tablets, since the majority of tablets will not be used with lte / 4g connections, an SOC with those devices built in jsut waste power. (whats the point of an LTE tablet when you have wifi at home/work and buying mobile data is akin to paying to be anally raped in the US?)

For anyone that thinks AMD lost or isn't playing the tablet game, then why have they been talking about "Hondo" for the last 18 months as the replacement for "Zacate"?

But don't take my word for it, look it up yourself and gain knowledge, instead of opinion.
