New feature ...now the "home" icon is no longer way off by itself on the other side of the screen -- you now have the joy of having it at the bottom of the screen, in a password protected drop-down. /sarcasm
to me who really cares it opens websites and i can browse the web and look at the whole 3 websites that i vew on a daily basis... oh and it downloads stuff which firefox to me has a retarded download functionality to it and plus its one more thing i have to install on my computer blah IE8 Does everything i need and nothing i dont need so i am more than happy plus i cant see a speed diff whatsoever but i guess having a fast computer makes a diff as well...
Right now, Internet Explorer lags behind the likes of Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera in terms of features and speed. But that's just version 8. With IE9, Microsoft is working to make it the best browser available.
Wow. Tons of misinformed people in here. IE can have both Speed Dial and Ad Blocking capabilities. Its an addon called IE7pro. Yes, IE has addons just like FireFox. *gasp*!
Also, saying that you wish MS would work on Acid3 standards shows that you haven't been paying attention.
IE8 gets a 20/100
IE9 PP (Platform Preview) 1 gets a 55/100
IE9 PP 2 gets a 68/100
IE9 PP 3 gets a 83/100
They are working on it. The speed of IE9 keeps getting faster and faster with each PP as well. I have no doubt they will launch with the fastest Browser available and a 100/100 in Acid3.
[citation][nom]curnel_D[/nom]Not to burst your bubble, but you just proved his point even further.Only Opera fits in all of the lists you just mentioned, and milliseconds difference as far as speed goes is certainly still debatable.[/citation]
still its faster even by 1 billisecond even still faster
on my computer IE 8 smashes FF and chrome in the face, FF is f**ken useless slow and has a massive memory leak, i dont think developers know how to fix it!

Let me guess you installed 400+ add ons?
i thought that Firefox lags behind the likes of Internet Explorer, since IE has seperate process in each tab, while firefox doesn't. if firefox crashes (nowadays, firefox like to crash), all tabs are gone.
