Well multi player gaming is better on a sub model honestly. The servers will be stronger now that they yield that cost. But you still get that choice.

I think people are going to pick up this console - as such, I am not worried about having another Dreamcast scenario where I invest for a console but the consumer market doesn't support it with sales. I think it's an everybody wins scenario - if you are used to PC games that require license authentication and don't use rental services or the used game market, the XB1 is going to help reduce the amount of stuff in your entertainment cabinet. If those feature piss you off and you're convinced Sony will find a way to keep developers from getting them on the DRM band wagon on a consistent basis, then get a PS4. Either way, competition is a good thing. I am just excited about more cross platform functionality - that way if I get an XB1 but my buddy gets a PS4 we will still be able to play some games together.

Cross platform play will make me so happy. I really think that AMD is doing a great job pushing towards that with their Unified Gamer shenanigans. I would much prefer to play on my PC, while my buddy plays on his xbox.
