Today when I logged in to my lab pc in my university and tried to copy some files from another pc in the lab through sharing, which I often do, I found all the devices connected to the main server(all devices in the university), these devices including PCs, ip cams, cams, smart phones etc. How could this be possible and how will a network administrator resolve this issue.
And sorry for bad English.
Thanks

If they are allowed to connect to the network, there is no problem to solve. If they aren't allowed, the most likely mode of access for many of those non-PC/server/network resource devices is a wireless network. Encrypting the connection can help with some devices. Configuring a whitelist of devices allowed to access (by MAC address) would also limit connected devices.

The admins could also require student credentials to connect to the network and then limit the number of allowed devices to connect.

Lots of possibilities, but the implementation would depend on the rules to determine what is allowed/not allowed to connect to the network.
