Microsoft Shutting Down Halo 2 PC Multiplayer Servers in Feb

The death blow to Halo 2. YAY! I really hated this game.

Biggest let down for a sequel ever, and I'm still pissed about it. Die Halo 2! muahahaha

What's funny is that story-wise the 2nd and 3rd games are VERY important to one another. You can almost jump into the 2nd one without having played the first, but there's no way you can jump into the third without playing the 2nd. The story starts off right where 2 ended.

Also I tried to install my old Halo 2 copy a few weeks ago, multiplayer is already broken. I couldn't log into my Live account, it kept trying to plug into Games for Windows Live - Vista, which doesn't exist anymore. I could only play the single player campaign.

Halo 2 and a keyboard+mouse are the only things I've purchased from Microsoft in the last 10 years, and even these purchases I'm now regretting

This game failed because it was Vista only. By the time windows 7 came out it was forgotten about.
