I'm very curious as to how the surface pro will run games since it has an Intel Core i5 APU with the HD4000 that can run some games at decent frames. Hell, my neighbor runs LOTRO and WoW rather well on decent settings and his Corei5 has the Intel HD3000. The only concern would be heat issues, and how it will affect the other components.

Heat isn't an issue in the laptops/ultrabooks right now AFAIK, so I wouldn't expect it to be an issue in the tablets.

"For instance, Chrome and Firefox benefit from AdBlock. IE10 lacks an extension as robust, which sucks because block Flash-based advertisements would go a long way to improving performance on popular websites."
That's right, you heard it here on Tom's hardware... the site that is nearly unusable without the use of adblock!

I have tried repeatedly to login to Tom's forums to reply to help on my Windows Live Mail. Repeatedly the site just keeps wanting me to sign in when I am already in and it doesn't take my reply to the person that helped me by making a suggestion to remedy my Mail problem. How do I login again. My user name and password are correct.
It's aggravating.

[citation][nom]cknobman[/nom]We have a few Windows RT tablets floating around the office and I have to say they are very impressive. The only thing holding me back from a purchase right now is Tegra 3. As soon as they upgrade the SOC to something more powerful (or if Surface Pro comes in something less than equal to $800) I will be getting one. I currently have a Asus Transformer android tablet and that thing does not hold a candle to Windows RT.[/citation]

Intel is releasing a new CPU code-named Haswell. The big deal is that it's a desktop CPU which has been heavily designed with power efficiency in mind.

I'm interested in getting a TRANSFORMER that uses Haswell and thus running the x86 version of Windows 8 rather than RT so it's fully compatible with Windows software unlike RT.

I'm pretty sure all people who buy the surface RT are buying it, not to play angry birds or cut the rope but to be productive and replace their laptop with it. From reviews I've read from objective reviewers it seems that Office is quite the amazing app.
What I think, if you want to play games and download apps to waste time, buy an iPad. However if you want to work and be productive with your tablet, maybe...ummm...buy this :). I am not educated upon Android tablets so I won't speak about 'em

Microsoft Surface is heavy, big and thick to compare with iPad or Nexus. Well, I like my iOS Xcode and Android SDK... it's free........
