Question Microsoft Word no longer lets me post a copy of a slew of hyperlinks in the format they were copied from ?

I used to copy a bunch of links and post them all in the Word document together as one action and have them post in the format they were copied from, i.e., the links would all paste as immediately live, active hyperlinks, not plain text. Now, instead of the right-click context menu offering me two, three, or four formats to choose from, it only offers plain text. That means I would have to go in and put the cursor in front of every link and press the space bar to make them active. What settings or fixes can I use to get this capability back?
I'm on Windows 11 23H2 with Office 2021. It worked fine on Windows 10.

Double check your settings (in Word/Office), and ensure the various options are selected.
Likely an update changed your 'default'.... plain text only was pushed in 365 earlier this year, AFAIK it was only for 365, but you never know.

Assuming settings structure is similar in 2021:
  1. Select File> Options > Advanced.
  2. Navigate to the Cut, copy, and paste.
  3. Ensure the Keep bullets and numbers are checked

Also, where are you copying this from?

From, Excel, if it is already seen as a hyperlink, "Keep Source Formatting" works perfectly. They are hyperlinks in Word.

From Notepad, it comes in as just straight text, no hyperlink.

Thank you for the responses. I was copying from Chrome browser tabs using TabCopy. It worked fine before, and now it is working fine again.
