Unfortunately, it seems that the Microsoft Software Recovery for Windows 7 is only for retail keys, so unlike Digital River's support that worked for OEM keys, the new site does not. I tried a couple of OEM keys just to test the site and found that they didn't work.
Not sure at this point what to tell OEM users who don't get a full install disk and then need one. Any ideas?

That is what I posted in the second post of the thread. MS created a fresh problem for Windows 7 users, putting them in the same position as Windows 8 users. Unfortunately, most people don't do anything until they have a serious issue and need a disk, not a good practice but human nature.
