Micrphone loud enviroment

Hi Guys,

My room where my PC is a particularly loud environment as I live on a main road and my room is next to a staircase. I'm looking for a good/alight quality microphone to use what will only pick up my voice. Don't want to be spending a huge amount would prefer to spend under £100-150.

I'm currently using the Mod Mic and it picks up everything including my headset audio (Sennheiser HD 518)

all microphones will pick up ambient noise, some just reduce the amount based on design.

a few things you can try:

a noise cancelling microphone
a cardioid pattern microphone (picks up only from front)
putting a desk microphone inside a box lined with sound absorbing foam and only open from one side.
if your window faces the road, have something like a room barrier between you and the window to block sound (or the box above facing away from it would work too)
