Heya fellers....

Yesterday I was flying my Howard 500 across Indonesia on my way to
New Guinea (sp?).

I was flying on AP with FSNav flying the FP and as soon as I reached
my cruise alt the right wing dipped down.
I had this the whole flight. Even the guages told me I wasn't level.
I don't recall seeing this on my previous RTW-trip in FS2002 when I
was flying down under.

Anyone else evner notice something like this?

Even the tiniest weight imbalance in FS9 can do this... it's a bug. I've
had it happen when one passenger is just 20 pounds more than the other.

Or, it could be a joystick calibration thing.

Fuel imbalance?
Your copilot been eating too many choc bars?

That's the second thing I thought of.
But I've never had an aircraft, this one included, that doesn't divide the
fuel flow simultaneously. I always keep a close eye on the fuel gauges and
even check the fuel load every once in a while.

The first thing I thought of was engine rpm, since I control both engines
individually. But when the rpm gauges read the same I can scratch that off
the list.

Thanks for the input, John.
For what it's worth....you could have been right. 🙂

Well I have to admit I doubt both.
The yoke has been calibrated for months now and it's been just fine.
Just these last three or four flights showed this problem.

However....what I haven't looked at was passenger/cargo load.
I might have accidentally changed that while I was re-fueling.
Hang on....I'm gonna have a quick look.

........

Nope....everything is divided equally.
But you gave me a good idea though....leave the co-pilot behind and, if
that doesn't work, stack the cargo a little more to the port side.
Yeah....I think I'll give that a shot and see if FS9 is really such a twit!
Thanks, D. I'll let ya know asap.

No big deal.. just hit the slew key and make sure it's frozen in the air.
If not you've got your answer.

It stayed frozen in mid-air, so I guess the yoke is calibrated.
I've transfered some of the cargoweight from the starboard side to the port
side of the aircraft and, to my surprise, it seems to work.
The left wing went down....so now I have to keep doing that until I get the
perfect balance.

Thanks, Dalli.

Dalli,

When I go to SLEW the aircraft goes completely nuts. It spins like crazy
but stays near the same altitude and location. When I unplug my Quad
Throttle it stops. When I try to calibrate the Quad, well ..... don't
know how to calibrate levers.. :)

And your rudders in the sim work fine?

Don't look at me, I don't have that hi tech stuff.

No, pedals do not help. The Quad Throttle have a bunch of buttons. I
deleted all of the associations for them but the spinning doesn't slow.
