So not too long ago I had upgraded my system but instead of upgrading the graphics card I decided to upgrade the CPU which involved getting a new Motherboard, CPU, Ram, etc. I had originally posted on here about my games crashing which I will link the post below but it seemed like I had fixed the problem after installing a new power supply and the crashes would only happen every once in PUBG. Then one day I get on and launch up some siege and in the middle of the match my game freezes and I get no response to moving my mouse or hitting the keyboard. I can still hear people in game and my friends in the team speak but both my monitors are frozen. My rain meter doesn't update, team speak stops showing when people are talking, and my game is frozen in time. Before when I crashed I could just tab out to my desktop and quit siege and relaunch but now what happens is this in order -
1. Both monitors freeze and anything on them doesn't update like the game and teamspeak but I can still hear people talking
2. Cannot tab out, quit the game, alt f4, or task manager out of it.
3. Both monitors black out
4. I wait a few mins before deciding its time to just manually restart by holding down power button on case.

Sometimes my team speak freezes even when i'm on my desktop like I'll be talking to my friends and then all of the sudden I hear them stop talking and look over on my second monitor to see that it still shows the icon toggled for them talking and they can't hear me neither can I hear them. What sucks about these crashes is that they occur randomly like I can't take a video of when they happen but I did manage to get this picture of my monitor glitching out.

I tested black ops 2 zombies today and on wave 7 I think it was I crashed. Here's the temps of when I was playing and at the bottom of the spreadsheet I stopped logging it as soon as I crashed.

Note: My setup changed slightly from the original post because I added a WiFi Adapter to be able to go over to my friends house and game. The crashing was happening before I added it in though.

I'm stuck on what to do because the crashes are happening every time I play but now i'm having to restart my computer. My friend was recommending me to reinstall windows or maybe its my old graphics card causing issues like I don't have enough video ram?. When I installed windows, I used a flash drive that I used before to install windows on another computer. If there's any other information you'd like to know please ask and I would be willing to answer.

Solution
with the price of gpu now your better try to use a old card for test time and give your friend is gpu back also check you ram voltages and itf they not getting hot .
1. Shut down, turn off PSU switch and unplug gpu. Try to use igpu on 8700k to game @ 720p and lowest setting, see if problem persists.

2. Whoever talked you into buying 8700k but keeping that gpu is not helping. You should get I5-8600k and a decent gpu like 1060.

1. That's a good idea actually I will try that now

2. I got the 8700k because I wanted to upgrade my CPU first so I could get better fps in Arma 3 and have a boost in basic computer use. I also did it because I wanted to build a computer from scratch again because I think its pretty cool. I was planning to upgrade my GPU in the future to have a really good PC for playing games.

Oh okay I will try that then because what I did was I took out my card and replaced it with the 1060 then ran black ops 2 and it crashed. So I downloaded drivers for 1060 and launched black ops 2 and it still crashed so next time I will uninstall the drivers and plug it in then reinstall the ones for the new card.

I tried testing ram using the mem test and it wasn't giving me any errors.
I think my motherboard has some sort of overclocking future I can try and disable that I guess if you think I should.
I downloaded Magician Software and ran compatibility and tests and wasn't finding any errors.

Edit- By overclocking future I mean automatic overclocking which I think my motherboard has.

Hey so I tried a few more things i'll list them below,

- Tried testing ram with mem test swapping ram around in both slots to test both sticks

- Tried resetting windows

- Tried running off first monitor only and unplugging second monitor

So today when I launched black ops 2 zombies I ran it with minimal programs like I only installed the things I needed after resetting windows like drivers, msi after burner, corsair link, etc. On wave 7 my monitor froze, blackscreened, then I was brought to my desktop and saw this windows message, here's a link to picture

I had downloaded Geforce experience already and updated my drivers before this happend. When it did I could still hear sound in game and my friend talking in team speak

Okay well I can't test it in another system right now but when I go back over to my friends house we can try my GPU in his system and his 1060 back in mine to see if it works. But right now do you think I should try using one of the other slots for GPU's on the board?

I tried the second slot and it didn't work, my game froze immediately on the first wave only a minute or so in.

Edit: I have a third slot but its at the very top and I can't put it there because it doesn't fit.
