I'm looking to upgrade my video card. The ole 9600 just isn't cutting it anymore. I was looking at the x1600PRO that ATI just came out with and it looks pretty good considering the price. I looked over your buyers guide and it suggests a 6600gt. Which is better? I'm looking for a card for $130 or under and it has to be AGP. Is the 6600GT the best card for this price range or is there anything better?

Do a search in the forumz on x1600, look at the comments and then you will decide NOT to buy one. This card sucks big time, in some games it will give good performance but in others it SUCKS !!! Why do you think these card are that cheap ? ATI knows they put out a bad product so they are pricing them hoping they will vanish from the market quickly. So don't do like I did, don't buy x1600. For the same money you can find a 6600gt wich performs alike the x1600 but much more consistantly. Or ATI's previous gen cards (x700, x8x0) will preform better than x1600, see the benchmarks. Get a little more $$$ and go for 6800gs or 7600gt, both cards kill the x1600. I am still trying to decide on wich of the two to get as an upgrade.
