Mid-Range Gaming Headsets

Hey Guys,

This X-Mas I am going to be asking for a mid-range gaming headset to use in FPS games. Here's what I am looking for

- $50-$80 In Price
- A Headset that picks crucial noises (ie Foot Steps, reloading, etc..)
- Good Mic with headset!

At the moment I am totally into competitive-essence (not like money competitions but competitive leagues) gaming with my clan and I really need a headset where I can communicate with my team and also pick up foot steps. I don't care how the headsets look, nor do I care about music/movie quality - gaming is what they are going to be used for.

I don't have a sound card so USB Headsets are fine. Right now I've been looking at these 2 headsets and would like something similar

Corsair Vengeance 1500 USB Connector Circumaural Dolby 7.1 Gaming Headset - They read great on reviews and score well but I can't afford a $100 pair

*Corsair HS1, USB Gaming Headset - They read to have good gaming quality however on-line reviews said the mic is crap I am heavily leaning towards this one for its price/quality!

I use the Turtle Beach X11's for PC, also for xb360. This set is the upgrade to that set.

I have the Corsair HS1 and am very happy with it. Sound quality is great and my friends say my mic quality is also good.

I paid £30 for it, it sounds good, is comfortable and is well made.......... very happy!

My friend spent £35 on a Bush headset the day before! its terrible!

i just upgraded from the x11's to the x12's you can find them as cheap as 39.99 shipped on amazon on a good day. they are AMAZING.

Got my self some HS1s for $60 - going to use them soon, I will check back here then
