Hey guys, just wondering about your general thoughts on the build, and any changes you think I should make to it before I put it together, thanks

One thing, I don't deem an ssd necessary, and I dont really want one so yea

Cpu: i5 4690k, will probably lightly OC, maybe 4, or 4.2 GHz

Cooler: be quiet! Dark rock 3 (NOT pro), after alot of looking at cpu coolers, this was the best I could find for my build

GPU: Asus gtx 970 Strix, I originally wanted a gigabyte gaming g1 970, but the passive fans seemed a great feature

Motherboard: MSI gd65, I was looking for a decent OC capable black and red mobo, but due to my lack of knowledge on motherboards I'm not sure this is a good choice.

HDD: 1tb WD blue with 64mb cache: cheap and cheerful

Case: Fractal Design define r5 with window (black), I also considered an h440 but the r5 apparently had better airflow and goes with the brushed aluminium components (cooler & gpu backplate)

Extra fan: fractal design ss 140mm, I will mount in into the bottom of the case to make case pressure positive and to blow air dirctly to the strix, however there may be a more favourable configuration

RAM: G.Skill ripjaw x 1866 MHz, as far as I know, it fits under the dark rock 3

PSU: Fractal design tesla r2 500w, apparently "cleaner" power reduces gpu coil whine, but Im not sure if I should pick this psu (looking for 80+ Gold), its probably the component that's most likely to change

Thanks for reading

Thanks, my reasoning for not choosing the noctua is the aesthetics, I can't really bear the colours, I also considered a tpc 800+1 corsair sp120, or do you have any other suggestions on well priced and preferably semi-quiet coolers? Thanks
