Mid range system for gaming

Hi all
I want to build gaming pc, I was thinking of going with AMD because of lower cost, not sure best way to go. I was thinking of AMD A10 6800K but after reading more the GPU is not good enough to run top games, so next option is AM3+ but the big question which you may get asked a lot is FX 4, FX 6 or FX 8 not got a clue. I have about £170 to play with on board and cpu may be a bit more. Can anyone advise which way to go please

No, the gigabyte board I listed is the best 970 board you can get. It has an 8+2 power like the 990fxa-ud3.
