I was wondering if a smaller case than my current Rosewill Throne (with window which is without a side fan) would have an affect on airflow. The air inside my case can get warm in areas near the center of the case and away from the fans. I was thinking that my fans doen't have the power to push air or pull air out of those areas which creates an area if dead space where there is no airflow. I was thinking of getting the Coolermaster HAF XB EVO which has two intake fans close to and centered in from of the motherboard unlike the Throne's fans that are offset down a bit. It also has a mounting point for a 200mm fan directly above the motherboard for airflow where the dead spaces used to be. The question is if the HAF XB EVO will have better airflow and eliminate the dead spaces.

Well.... the common belief is the bigger the case, the better the airflow. That statement is more or less true. The bigger room allows the air to circulate in a bigger space resulting in the hot air being able to flow and move out of the case while the cool air can move around to cool the components.

The HAF XB EVO is probably one of the smaller cases with good airflow however why change from a bigger case to a smaller one?

I do agree that bigger cases provide more space for air to flow but in my case I don't think that applies because in certain areas of my case (mostly in the center) the air isn't moving and it gets warm. I thought the XB EVO would be better because the fans are closer to the parts of the motherboard where air wasn't moving therefore being able to move that air. Kind of confusing but tell me if you understand my logic.

First of all don't change your case to the XB EVO, instead:

1. Completely recable manage everything so it is as neat and clean as possible.
2. Can you explain the case fan situation you got going on in the case? You can add more fans on the front, bottom, rear and top to enhance airflow.
