Might have forgoten to remove plastic film when added cpu cooler

Hi,
So I think that I might have forgot to remove that little plastic thing
Cooler is dark rock 3

Temps are few degrees more than usual test show about +10 degrees

Should I remove the cooler to check ?
If it's there can I simply remove it ?
There has been no issues with overheat or anything I just don't remember if I removed that thing.

yes you should, that usually the first indication you get, idling in the 40's.

Remove the cooler, remove the plastic, and apply some new paste.
