[SOLVED] Migrating from one PC to another

I broke down and bought a new PC to replace / upgrade my home built unit. I guess after 12+ years it was time. Is there an easy or simple way to migrate my software from the old soldier over to the new machine? In the good old days one just copied the programs over. With the registry that ain't gonna happen. Thank you.

What are specs of the old and new pc?

Most likely clean install of windows will be required.
If you try to avoid this, following issues will happen:

boot mode compatibility (system doesn't boot),​

drivers compatibility (bad performance, crashes, bsods),​

windows activation problems (can not activate windows).​
