Minecraft 30FPS HELP?!

So I bought Minecraft Saturday. I use an Asus ROG 750JM-BSI7N24 to play it. Which is why I am so confused as to why I am only getting max 0-30 FPS. Keep in mind I have only seen it hit 30FPS once for an actual second. I dont know is going on.. Can someone help? I saw that someone said that somehow they were using the wrong graphics card or something somehow and when they changed it they jumped to 240FPS.. Please help me!!

That laptop should handle minecraft pretty well.. Have you updated the drivers of your video card? You can give that a try. Solves a lot of problems, often..

I would but I fear the BSOD that comes with updating Drivers of Asus..

Have you tried changing the GPu to the Discrete GPU, no the integrated one? Also, what if the framerate in game is locked to 30 FPS, probably due to that. And if it is 30 FPS during multiplayer, it simple could be due to your connection to the server and nothing else.

Have you increased the dedicated RAM for it? Atleast around 1500mb for good performance.

NVIDIA Control Panel> Find Minecraft.exe in the list of programs> Find the option that asks if you want to use the integrated graphics or the High Performance NVIDIA Graphics Card>Pick the GTX 860M (your GPU)>Play!
