MInecraft capped @ 60 on G-Sync

I just got a G-Sync moniter, and want to play minecraft but it is capped @ 60. My moniter is 144Hz, v sync is turned off in game and in the Nvidia Control Panel. Is there a way to unlock it or am i screwed?

Specs: Intel i7-4790k
GTX 960 (4gb)
16GB ddr3 RAM
Acer Predator XB271HU

Are you using dp? Does it give the option to set it to 144hz in nvidia control panel? Are you playing in fullscreen?

I was using DP and it was set to 60hz in nvidia control panel, changed it to 144 hz and it works fine now, thank you!
