So basically the title says it all. I get a good amount of lag spikes on vanilla and moded (yes with more allocated ram) it lags. I was installing some mods to do a series of pixelmon on my channel YouTube.com/mazupicua....and basically i couldnt really get good frames. I would like to think that my pc can run it without lag since i can run bf4 on ultra at a steady 60fps (around it). Here is the interesting part, the render settings have no effect on the fps (wether the graphics are fancy or not, wether render distance is 12 chunks or 32) still i get the same bad fps. Yes i have optifine, have tried enabling and disabling all graphics settings but fps varies from 20-60. Also here are my specs:
amd fx-8350
radeon hd 7950
16 of hyper x beast
1000 silverstone psu
biostar ta990fxe mobo

Below are 3 pics of what i mean. the first one is minecraft without mods, the second one is with mods and the third is bf4 (obviously when it hits 0 is because i stopped playing 😛)

its the same for any other game, the usage goes up as need except on minecraft 🙁

Any suggestion will be appreciated :)

Solution
Also (unfortunately) Minecraft is very per-core CPU performance dependent, so an Intel CPU would be better at the same clocks, but even that shouldn't effect your performance enough to be very noticeable. It seems also that it tends to run better on Nvidia GPUs, not sure why.

I'm not imploring that you upgrade, just thinking of reasons.

Are your drivers updated? Do you have 64-bit Java installed?

Yeah i unsertand, it did run smoothly on a 520 i had laying around 🙁 but it barely uses the gup to begin with so its not even being rendered as a game. And yes i have the latest drivers and java 64 bit.its just weird that after all this time there isnt a preconfigured 3d profile for minecraft. And a bunch of people are having the same issue...i a bit I'll attach a picture of msi afterburner showing the usage so you guys can see

yeah basically thats whats going on. and i get the same fps regardless of which graphics settings i used. i updated the post with more info and pics
