So I bought a Radeon 6990 which has 1 DVI and 4 Mini DP, I have a Mini DP to HDMI lead and I have the latest catalyst driver and everything displays perfectly, but for some unknown reason I can't get any sound what so ever, I've tried restarting but nothing seems to work, I've gone into the playback devices and it has 3 options:
AMD HDMI Output (with a green tick saying this is the device in use)
Digital Audio (S/PDIF)
Digital Audio (S/PDIF)
When I try to test the top device it says "The device is being used by another application. Please close any devices that are playing audio to this device and then try again." and yet I have nothing open apart from this page, which I opened after it displayed that message.
I have tried going into the Catalyst Control Center and even with the advanced mode enabled I see no option for sound, I've done a load of google searches and have come up fruitless as a way to solve my problem.
