Mini-ITX Skylake Gaming Build!

Solution
Sorry, got distracted while I was typing.

The OS you have at the moment, if it came with a pre-built, or if you bought an OEM version, it won't activate with a new "system" (MS views a new motherboard as a new system). 1x OEM license for 1 motherboard. Unless you bought a retail version of an OS, you won't be able to activate it on a new system.

Do you need a clean install - honestly, yes.
You'll be lucky if it even boots to the OS with a prior install. Probably around 1% chance that it will even boot to logon, if it does, it will be buggy no doubt about it. It's installed relating to a motherboard, and a new motherboard very rarely 'plays nice' with an old install.

You should perform a clean install (especially if you...

I would've changed a couple of things:

1. The SSD VNow doesn't perform as 'rated' - a "bait & switch" from Kingston.

2. Would've scaled back the PSU, no need for 850W in that build and, being mITX, you won't be SLI'ing. Likely need something around 400W at full load.
Would've gone with: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9

3. Also, I noticed you took (are taking?), that shouldn't work if it's OEM. A new motherboard needs a clean install, and won't (or at least shouldn't) activate the way you described.

Other than that, it's a pretty good build

I didn't get your 3rd point, can you elaborate?

As for the PSU, I was going to get an EVGA G1 650 but they had no shipping to PR,plus it was a bit expensive, so was the 750w G1 and G2, for like 10-15 more bucks, I got the 850watt one, peace of mind :p

And thanks for replying!

Also, I'm curious about the clean install.

Do I really need to do a clean install of windows 10? I have saved things in the SSDs, thinking that I could just resume like it was on my previous build...

That probably won't work well since you have all the old drivers and junk from your last install. I would always recommend doing a clean install on a fresh build (and maybe once every year or so just to clear out the junk).
It provides peace of mind after all... :p

You should perform a clean install (especially if you upgraded & did not clean install afterwards). Old drivers etc can be an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Hey sorry for thread jacking but I have a quick question about your CPU Cooler the H100i GTX!
I am about to build a PC and was going for that same one, is it quiet, did it leak (I've never used water cooling before), you had any problems with it whatsoever? Also did you keep the stock fans?

Not necessarily quiet, you definitely hear the pump kicking in from time to time but it's not "loud".

No leaks - but it's always a risk with liquid cooling. Try to mount the radiator at the side of your case (or top, depending on the case) where gravity would take any leak away from your motherboard to be as safe as possible. Not many reports of the H100i leaking though.

Kept the stock fans, barely hear them. I don't personally see the benefit in upgrading those.

Awesome thanks for the input I really appreciate it! I think with most of the stuff I have learned I will settle on getting it.
