Hi guys, I am planning to buy an intel 7700k and I am not planning to buy any extra cooler. I live in a moderately hot climate(India, temperatures are around 35C). I WILL NOT overclock the cpu. I WILL use it for latest titles. I have heard that 7700k has a slight heating issue?! Will a cheap CPU fan be enough for cooling?

When I scroll to the bottom of these pages it shows the price + shipping as one price. In cart shows ₹ 450 shipping.
Sorry didn't know about import fees.

So if I have conversion right with 25% import fee comes to 6811.25 less tax(what is tax rate in India?) which is $106.73, so about 30 dollars more than here in the states for a top of the line cooler. Maybe fuzzy math? Please correct me if I am...

why would you even buy the unlocked k version if you are not going to overclock it? hyper 212, cryorig h7 can do it

6600k - TDP 91w 3.5ghz base - 3.9ghz turbo

7600k - TDP 91w 3.8 ghz base - 4.2ghz turbo

7700k - TDP 91w 4.2ghz base - 4.5ghz turbo, with the addition of hyperthreading even hotter.

Clock speed absolutely matters when considering coolers. Increased clocks = increased voltage = increased temps.

OP get the best cooler you can afford, period.

Cheapest coolers I can recommend are Noctua NH-U14S or NH-U12S.

what i mean is that dont use clock as the point when buying cooler, because there could be high clocked cpu with low tdp right?

You can, but with your high ambient temps. I really recommend one of the two I listed above. Along with really good case ventilation.

The mounting that that cooler uses sucks and it will be far more noisy than the noctuas. The h7 mentioned earlier is a better cooler than the 212. But not by much.

Cheaper than Noctua, Scythe Mugen 4.

Search these forums for 7700k and cm212. I doubt you'll like the results.

I won't. The issue is computer peripherals in India are more than 3 times the cost in US nh u14 is like 60$. It would have been on my list already if I were in US, here nh u14 costs 160$, around one third of price of cpu. Can you guys have look at this link and spot out the cheapest acceptable cooler? http://www.amazon.in/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=cpu+cooler

man, if you check the price at amazon india, the price difference is pretty big though

Or get a deep cool maelstrom 120 from MD computers it's costs 3.9 I guess, its OK until clock speed below 4.3ghz or maelstrom 240t for 5.9k it's better than 120, it can hold around 4.5ghz or antec h1200pro for 7.5k it can reach upto 4.8. I tried them all for my i7 4790k

They got newegg in india too? I didn't even know that. I hope there are no other huge costs involved(like shipping of 150$ or something). If not I am buying that right now.

aye, agreed!

I realize this is probably above your budget, I just have a hard time recommending budget coolers for a 7700k that will be used in a hot climate like yours.
