Minimum power supply

I want to know what power supply to buy as one calculator gives me 840 Watts, and the other 473...

Here are my specs

Intel i5 4430 LGA 1150
Asus z87 Pro
Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X
2 x 8GB RAM G.Skill DDR3 1866
2 HDD 3.5" (500 GB each)
1 Optical drive

I bought a Corsair CF650M, but once everything is plugged in, all is working but the tower fans. I have 4 120 mm fans and 1 x 240mm fan.

First time builder, I left Apple for you guys, so please help me!!!

Reconnected everything now, it works, except for the 240 mm

I am trying to figure out the requirement announced by the manufacturer of the video card.

They write : •System power supply requirement: 600W

Does it mean that the card will use 600W, or that to operate any system configuration with this card a 600W shoud be enough ?

Total system to have a 600watt PSU installed the card it self is around 250watts max.
