Hello!
I bought a preowned AVR in April (A Sony STR-DN1080).
My previous system, a Pioneer VSX 528 has a button on the remote named "ADV surround" that allows me to listen to music in stereo mix mirrored on all the speakers in my surroundsystem.
This button and it's function seems to be missing entirely on my new system.
I figured I could find a solution by looking for alternatives at the source of the signal , my pc with OS Windows 11.
I did research on google and discovered the term speaker fill.
I haven't come further than that and the solutions I've come across are often on hardware and software that is over five years old at this point.
One solution entails entering sound in Windows, highlighting the current sound system - in this case my surround system.
Then proceed by clicking "properties", below the tab "enhancements" I have seen older systems where there has been a check box for the function "speaker fill" - but this box is missing on my system.
The other potential solution is to enter Realtek audio console.
There the function speaker fill can be found but somehow only my computerspeakers show up (A 2.1 system) despite my current speakers in Windows 11 being my surroundspeakers.
Is there any way to activate speaker fill/mirror stereo sound on surroundspeakers in Windows 11?
How come Realtek audio console doesn't detect my surround system? The drivers are up to date!
