Question Mirrored Volume keeps failing redundancy ?

Hi everyone,
I am having an odd issue lately, it is the second time my mirrored partition gets the error “failed redundancy”.

The first time I thought it was because of a Windows update, but now, the second time it happened and I am wondering if something else is amiss. The first time I formatted one of the HDDs and then resynchronized volumes and remade the mirror but it took ages to synchronize. Now the second time it happened I chose to bring up the offline volume but not format it, I thought there was an option to keep the identical data on both volumes and resync them faster, but there is no such option in Disk Management now that both volumes have data on them.

I kinda got stuck now with two identical volumes and I don't know how to sync them into a mirrored one. I need your help and guidance.

A few things to mention:
1. I use Windows 11 Pro which I keep up to date.
2. I have 2 x 4GB WD Blue HDDs (both same model).
3. I only store data and read from them.

By Disk Mirroring do you mean RAID 1?

Is there a specific need for or requirement for using RAID 1 or any level of RAID at all?

For the most part RAID is obsolete for all but specific environments and requirements.

Very likely that you can simplify things (no more RAID) with an end result of a stabler and more secure (backed up) system.

Much less problematic and easier to maintain. Safer for data.

Regarding "help and guidance".

That can and should include suggestions about other ways to do things.

Especially if the problem has happened before. And, in my mind, your current situation is likely to happen again.

You may no longer be able to sync the files into a mirrored one or, even if so, probably not for much longer....

Remember that mirroring uses dynamic disks and dynamic disks are being deprecated.

FYI:

Possible replacement?

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/storage-spaces/overview

The Storage Space link may or may not be applicable - more information needed about the current drives and process.

Failing hardware and continued use of deprecated configurations will eventually lead to data loss.

I strongly recommend some additional, interim measures to back up data and maintain that desired "redundancy".
