Mirror's Edge screen tearing and black lines

I just recently got Mirror's Edge. I have all settings at highest and AA at x4. However, there are these lines in the distance and on my character as well as others that won't go away. They appear to be model lines or something?

Another issue is when I am at fast motion points of the game I get screen tearing. I have the physX engine off.
My graphics card is an HD Radeon 7850

Try this:-

start game -> Options -> Video -> Vertical Sync -> On

This should solve your screen tearing.

I would also suggest dialling your other settings back a bit.

After messing around a little with the settings i found that only 4xAA makes those black lines. 8xAA and up make my game run slow but 2x is ideal I suppose. Kind of upsetting that a card that seems to be really powerful cant handle more than 2xAA on this game but what is there to do about it? Oh well.
