Hi,

I would like to power a GPU Geforce GTX 970 trough a PSU Corsair CX450M , but it appear I'm missing a cable !?

The GPU require ( 1x 8-pin, 1x 6-pin )

I have only one 8-pin(psu) to a split 2x ( 6+2pin )
and it doesn't make sense to connect it like this

As 2 and 3 come from the same PSU socket..

So In guess I need and extra 6-pin (PSU) to 6-pin pci-e ?
is it exist ?

is this PSU is even compatible with the GPU ?

Thanks

How old is the PSU? I would leave it as is. If you really do want to follow through the recommended route of having a standalone harness from the PSU to the device, then using this chart;
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/s/legacy-psu-cable-compatibility
you can get this cable;
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-...ctor-and-capacitors-for-type-4-psu-cp-8920143
Pick up two of these so you have uniformity. Aesthetics wise.

Or look into this;

Outside of that, you're going to be fine, if the unit is fairly new. It's only when you need to power higher end cards or you're seeing an anomaly with your GPU is when you look into powering the GPU with standalone harnesses.

...You do realize that your PSU is underpowered in regards to the recommended PSU wattage (500), right?
I didn't saw that on the brand specification and requirement page. ( thanks )
but I had run a PSU watt calculator in the preparation of this computer

and like I have limited equipment inside, 273W was the outputted value ( included this GPU )
