I am missing a ton of my base system devices, and when i search for the drivers online nothing shows up.

my specs for my computer are as follows:

sabertooth x79 motherboard
i7 4820k processor
gtx 780
16gb ram
1 boot ssd 1 2tb hdd

Any way that you guys can help me solve this problem would be great, This is my first pc that I built for myself and I'm just really confused with this.

Under the link posted by the other poster above, select your version of Windows, and download the specified driver packages. It looks like ASUS is distributing them as zip files so unzip them and run the setup program in the extracted folders. If you have Windows 7 or lesser you should install the USB 3 driver, though that isn't needed for Windows 8/8.1

I think he means "base system device" is what's listed in the device manager (under "other devices") LOL

Try the Intel Chipset first, then Management Interface. I've worked on X79 systems where the chipset showed up with a ton of "base system devices." Then you can knock out audio and video and everything else.

Yeah is for sure not my GPU, I have geforce experience auto updating that, as for the Intel chipset and management interface, I think that may be a fix, though if you can in some way give a tutorial on what to do specifically, that would be greatly helpful 😀 again this is my first build and I kind of just winged it haha

So I installed it, the computer reset it got to one of the install pages and said an unexpected error has occurred.
that was while downloading the intel chipset one. now don't get me wrong the computer works and runs everything, I would've just liked to get rid of these weird drivers missing things under device manger. I can try out the software managment next if you think that would help, or if you have any idea why the other failed.

It did the whole windows is configuring new stuff during the reset, and afterwards on the desktop, there was the installation there and, when it got to a screen about the version it had an error, I'll tryout the management software now.

Just installed the management software, and it said installing drivers, though when I looked into it it was saying "no drivers found" on all of them

The windows configuration stuff probably means your PC picked up some updates. Are you sure you are downloading the drivers for the right version of Windows? You should have a 64 bit Windows install with that PC (if not you should reinstall with 64 bits, as 32 won't use more than 3.5GB of RAM), so make sure you're downloading 64 bit drivers.

I figured it out 😀 so that Intel chip-set software was the key, the only problem was there were 2 forms of setup, one was Asussetup.exe, and the other was just setup.exe, I chose the Asus one first because it was my motherboard, though I just installed it now using the regular setup.exe and now all of those drivers errors are gone!

Thanks for all the help with this problem I had, I'll be sure to use this website again if I have any more difficulties.
