Missing Disk partion

Hi all! have just formatted my dell desktop and have installed windows xp sp3.but when i open my computer, Local disk D does not appear yet it was there before formatting.it doesn't appear even in disk management.help me please!!!!!

Any chance that you formatted the whole drive and not just a partition? That would leave you with only a C drive. Is the C drive as big as the C and D combined were?

On a side note. Please be aware that Microsoft will end support of XP shortly. when that happens your system may/will become vulnerable to outside attacks via the net or flash. If it is stand alone no problem but if you stick in USB memory or connect to the net, goodluck.

Hi Stillblue!i appreciate your reply.before formatting, C was 20 GB and D was 50 GB.now what am able to see is only Local Disk D with 20 GB just the way it was before formatting.
