There are a bunch of drivers that have a ! next to them under Other devices. There are 36 Base System Device, 3 Performance Counters, and 1 System Interrupt Controller.

As far as I know they aren't affecting system performance but I need them solved.

Most all Base System Devices read: PCI bus 255, device 10, function 3 with a hardware ID of PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0EC3&SUBSYS_84EF1043&REV_04

Most Performance Counters read: PCI bus 255, device 14, function 1 or so and with a hardware ID of
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0E30&SUBSYS_84EF1043&REV_04

The System Interrupt Controller reads PCI bus 0, device 5, function 4 with a hardware ID of PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0E2C&SUBSYS_84EF1043&REV_04

I tried searching for the Vender #'s on PCIDatabase but cannot find the right one I am looking for, I think.

My system is an Intel i7 4930k LGA 2011 @3.4GHz, motherboard is an ASUS Sabertooth X79, i have G.Skill 16GB DDR3 PC3-10700 and an Nvidia GTX 780

I can provide more information if needed.

When did you notice this? Is this a recently installed copy of Windows or has it been running for a while? The specs indicate it couldn't be that old a copy of Windows but doesn't tell me if it's brand new either. "Base system device" can mean a lot of things; I often see it on laptop card readers but it's a pretty general term. TO have that many unknown drivers on an installation of any age is unusual.

Well, you could try a system restore to a point before this happened (if you know when). If it's Windows 8/8.1 you could additionally consider the "reset" or "refresh" options.

I built this PC about 3 or so months ago and everything seems fine, these Missing Divices have been there since I built it and got it running windows 8.1 from an OEM system builder disc. I mean I can back everything up and try reloading windows, but I am not sure if that will fix my problem.

One thing I have noticed is that happened when I got my computer tower was that 1 of the 2 USB 2.0 headers had a severed black cable on the top right most pin which I believe to be a ground wire. All the USB ports on the case work so I don't know if that is what is causing the issue. I think it's something else.

Also I am running the Intel Driver Update Utility and it doesn't seem like there is anything to download because when I tell it to Auto Detect nothing comes up. So I guess I have the chipset driver installed.

I might just give that a shot, but here is something that might be useful, I have driver detective. Don't know how good of a program that is or if it means anything, When it comes to drivers, I'm okay at it. The only problem is It says that there are 4 out of date drivers that are plugged in and 1 that isn't "plugged in" that is out of date. When I try to download them, they take me through a setup wizard and it doesn't seem like it installed anything and says FINISHED right away. And they still appear.
(Exclude the Nvidia and the Samsung drivers, I got those fine)

This got rid of all of the exclamation points in Device Manager! That's what I needed.

It was an Intel Chipset issue.

Thanks to SchizTech! You are the best!

as far as the Driver detective SATA AHCI controller, the X79/C600 series SMBus Host Controller 1D22 and the X79/C600 series USB2 Enhanced Host Controller #1 1D26 Driver Detective still says they are out of date, but I think it might be a false positive since they should be included in the chipset.
