Missing dropdown menu for network connection windows xp

The drop down menu for Network Connection (in Control Panel) does not display... Any hint ?

Sorry for this late reply... the problem has not been solved yet!

I am running Winfows XP.

Are you in Classic view or Category view? Category view will have a title Pick A Category at the top. Classic view will be a bunch of icons either as thumbnails or listed out.
