Missing Operating System after switching out parts

I just switched out all of my parts except hard drive and power supply. When I boot the computer it gives me the Missing Operating System_ error. I entered BIOS and the motherboard is recognizing the hard drives but I am still getting the error and unsure of how to proceed to correct it.
 
Solution
Clean OS install in this new (used) system.

Also, check ALL of the cables and connection.
A simple "Missing Operating System" may be something not connected properly.


Operating System is Windows 7
I should also add that these parts were my friends old parts so he used to use them and then gave them to me.
I don't have the old parts list but the new ones are:
