I can't connect my old printer (Epson Stylus Photo 700) to my new computer, cause my motherboard doesn't seem to have a port for it so I guess I would have to connect it to usb. Is there an adapter or something to do that? I saw a complitely different cable for it but it was like 25 bucks.

Would it be more wise to buy a totally new printer instead? For example HP DeskJet 3745 or is that just waste of money? I mostly print only text and sometimes some simple graphics. Thanks!

You can probably pick up a usb-parallel converter for about $15 online. I have seen em at radioshack for about $15-20 or so.
