I have a 250GB Hardrive and when I go to settings, and then storage, (Windows 10) it says 118GB in apps and games is used, but in control panel it only says 29GB. I only have a few games installed, how do I get my storage back, I have tried using disk frag and the disk cleanup but no luck. If it helps I tried uninstalling Ark: Survival Evolved and it didn't give storage back and I see no traces of it.

if you are supposed to have a 250gbs hard disk, then, i am a bit confused here, it does have that size, then not sure if you are confusing free space with used space and size of the partition or what

i see there a 350 megabytes partition for windows, a 217gbs partition for your os and personal files and a recovery partition of almost 15 gbs

add all that and that is a partitioned 250gbs hard disk/ssd

the other two as you say are a 8 gbs and a 32 gbs partitions on 2 different devices

if your main concern is free space on that 217 gbs partition, well it must be full of recovery folders form previous windows 10 updates

try to clean hard disk by using something like ccleaner to wipe temporary files first, then on the properties of the partition check cleanup, on it open advasnced or system files and delete windows recovery or update backups

No, my actual total apps and game size adds up to 29gb, but when I check it says I have 118gb of apps and games installed. But I simply don't, and this is a newer pc, I have never upgraded or created recovery files.

I did recently update windows, still windows 10 from windows 10, but how could I get rid of the previous files, and would that add up to 118gb in my apps and games tab?

the games and apps are only one part, free space tells the entire story, windows can use 20 or 30 gbs, pluss the files you donwloaded and temporary stuff abandoned in user tmp and in other sites

i don't think it is something to worry about but if you are unsure, well, format the hard disk, but wipe that 15 gbs partition, if you don't created it and it wasn't there when you bought it, you don't need it

About a month ago I had used the system requirements thing online and it said I had 161gb free, and I had more stuff installed than I do now, yet it says I only have 55 gb free
